Sarah Lucas is an experienced American Sign Language tutor with a strong background in personalized online education, having served in this capacity with both Distance Tutoring Services and Lucas Tutoring Services since May 2014. In addition to tutoring, Sarah Lucas has been a Career Specialist with the PENCIL Foundation since November 2013, where curriculum development and programming for an after-school program focused on literacy, STEM, and career options are emphasized. Previous experiences include serving as a Summer Feeding Intern at DC Central Kitchen and as a Peer Mentor at the Baker Center of Public Policy. Sarah Lucas holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education with a focus on Deaf Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, earned between 2009 and 2013.
