McKenna Samson, MPA, currently serves as the Education Policy Manager (Federal) at PEN America since April 2024. Previously, McKenna held various roles, including Assistant Public Information Officer for Burlington County NJ from October 2023 to March 2024, and served as a Consulting Summer Associate at Gartner in mid-2023, contributing to public sector projects. McKenna was appointed to the Mount Laurel Library Board of Trustees from January 2021 to January 2023 and was an initial appointee to the Burlington County Minority and Equality Rights Task Force from August 2020 to August 2022. In the New Jersey Senate Democratic Office, McKenna functioned as a Public Relations Communications Specialist and interned in communications at The College of New Jersey while pursuing dual majors in English Literature and African-American Studies, and a minor in Communications. McKenna holds a Master of Public Administration from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree from The College of New Jersey.
