Allyson Augusta Shrikhande

Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer at Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine

Allyson Augusta Shrikhande began their work experience as a Surgical Intern at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2007. Allyson Augusta then went on to complete their residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Medical Center from 2008 to 2012. In 2012, they became a Clinical Instructor at Weill Cornell Medical College. Starting in 2013, Shrikhande held positions as a Physician at New York Bone and Joint Specialists and as Voluntary Faculty in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital. In 2017, they joined Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine, where they currently serve as a Medical Doctor and holds the role of Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer since February 2019. Shrikhande is highly knowledgeable in the field of chronic pelvic pain and is involved in developing training modules for residents and physicians through their position as Vice Chair of the Medical Education Committee for the International Pelvic Pain Society.

Allyson Augusta Shrikhande's education history begins in 1997 when they attended Boston College and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology in 2001. Allyson Augusta then pursued a medical career and enrolled in The Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland, from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Following this, Allyson completed a General Surgery Residency Program at Harvard University from 2007 to 2008. Finally, they attended New York University from 2009 to 2012, participating in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program.
