Dereck Parada currently serves as Placement and Assessment Supervisor for the Peace Corps in the Inter-America and Pacific region since November 2019, following a role as Volunteer Placement and Assessment Specialist in the same organization. Prior experience includes serving as a TEFL Technical Trainer, where over 70 trainees were instructed for Pre-Service Training and effective training programs were developed. Additional experience encompasses roles as a University Instructor, where instruction was provided to over 1,500 students in English, and positions as SharePoint Administrator/Technical Trainer at Leidos and Lockheed Martin, where intranet sites were maintained and employees were trained on SharePoint. Earlier career roles included management at La Tagliatella USA and internships with United Way organizations. Dereck Parada holds a Master of Arts in International Training and Education from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs and Public Service from Hampden-Sydney College.
