David Wellig has extensive experience as a software developer, with a focus on PDF tools. David is currently working as a Senior Software Entwickler at Pdftools since March 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at Smallpdf from March 2022 to February 2023. David also served as a Senior Software Entwickler at Pdftools from January 2015 to March 2022. Before their roles in the PDF industry, David gained experience as a Praktikum im Bereich Softwareentwicklung at Sensirion from January 2014 to July 2014. David also worked as a Wissenschaftlicher Assistent at Universität Stuttgart from November 2009 to September 2013 and as a Wissenschaftlicher Assistent at ETH Zürich from February 2008 to August 2009. Additionally, David worked as a Privattutor Mathematik from November 2006 to May 2010.

David Wellig's education history begins in 2001 when they attended ETH Zürich and obtained a Diploma (Dipl. phys.) in Theoretische und mathematische Physik in 2006. Subsequently, they pursued further studies at the University of Stuttgart, where they earned a Doktor (Dr. rer. nat.) degree in Theoretische und mathematische Physik, graduating in 2013. Continuing their educational journey, David Wellig attended ETH Zürich once again in 2015 and completed a CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) in Informatik in 2016.
