Mike Plunkett DDS, MPH is a seasoned dental professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within dental care and education. Currently serving as the Dental Director for Business Development & Partnerships at Permanente Dental Associates since October 2015, Mike oversees external network contract procurement and corporate partnerships while participating in strategic planning for the Kaiser Permanente Dental Program. In addition, Mike holds a part-time position as Assistant Professor of Community Dentistry at OHSU, directing courses focused on dental practice management and healthcare systems. Previous positions include Senior Director of Dental Care Delivery at Kaiser Permanente, Dental Director at CareOregon, and founding Dental Director at Neighborhood Health Center. Mike's educational background includes a Master of Public Health from the University of Kansas Medical Center and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, with ongoing studies at Harvard Business School and The George Washington University.
