Tuan-Minh Nguyen has a significant amount of work experience in various roles and industries. Tuan-Minh began their career as a Website Administrator Intern at EMBL in 2010, where they edited articles and administered the Science in School magazine website. In 2012, they worked as a Cloud Administrator Intern at SAP, where they were involved in system management tasks and implemented optimization measures for the MaxDB log.
In 2013, Tuan-Minh interned as an IT Support Intern at INIT Innovations in Transportation, Inc. There, they provided support and assistance with IT operations.
From 2015 to 2015, Tuan-Minh worked as a Software Developer Intern at 1&1 Internet, Inc. Here, they gained experience in software development.
In 2016, Tuan-Minh joined Wayne State University as a Graduate Research Assistant. Tuan-Minh conducted research in artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques applied to bioinformatics. During their time there, they developed a tool in the R programming language to identify causal chemicals for observed gene expression profiles.
Tuan-Minh continued their work at Wayne State University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, leading and mentoring bioinformatics, data science, and machine learning capstone projects. Tuan-Minh also delivered lectures on programming concepts.
In 2019, Tuan-Minh interned as a Data Science Intern at Halliburton. Tuan-Minh evaluated directional drilling quality and proposed a novel method for detecting abnormal behaviors of drilling bits in real-time.
Most recently, Tuan-Minh joined PCCI in 2021 as a Data Scientist, where they are actively working in that role.
Tuan-Minh Nguyen holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from Wayne State University, which was obtained between 2016 and 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), finishing in 2016. Furthermore, Tuan-Minh holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Heidelberg University, completed in 2012. Moreover, Tuan-Minh has obtained two additional certifications, namely "Using Databases with Python" and "Using Python to Access Web Data," both from the University of Michigan, in September 2020 and August 2020, respectively.
