Shawna Boakes is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in traffic operations and intelligent transportation systems. Currently serving as a Senior Design Engineer and Regional Business Lead for Transportation at PBX Engineering since October 2024, Shawna previously held key leadership roles at the City of Windsor, including Executive Director of Operations and Senior Manager of Traffic Operations and Parking, where responsibilities encompassed planning and managing traffic services and operations. Prior to that, Shawna worked at Dillon Consulting Limited as an Associate and Electrical Engineer, overseeing technical services and project management within facilities and transportation systems. Shawna's career also includes positions as a Project Engineer at Ambassador Engineering Solutions and a Robotics Engineer at ATS Robotics and Controls, highlighting a strong background in controls design and automation. Shawna earned a BASc in Engineering from the University of Windsor and completed the HRPA Online Program from 2014 to 2017.
