Emmanuel Quartey is a Ghanaian entrepreneur and technology executive. Emmanuel is currently the Growth at Paystack, a Nigerian startup that enables businesses to accept online payments from customers anywhere in the world.

Quartey has a long history of working with startups in Africa. Emmanuel was the General Manager of the MEST Incubator in Accra, Ghana from 2013 to 2016. The incubator, backed by the Meltwater Group, provides investment and incubation to aspiring technology entrepreneurs from Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and Ivory Coast. Quartey was responsible for investing between $50,000 to $100,000 in over 20 startups on the ground in Africa.

During their time at the MEST Incubator, Quartey also hosted domain experts in business and government from around the world to share insights with the community of African makers and founders. Recent guests included representatives from Facebook, Google, Uber, and the United States Government.

Prior to their work at the MEST Incubator, Quartey interned at General Assembly in New York City. There they worked on educational programming for the startup accelerator.

Emmanuel Quartey has a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Yale University. Emmanuel also attended Yale Summer Session in Mumbai and SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College.
