Vinayak Uppal is a seasoned professional in corporate strategy and growth, currently working at PayPal since June 2021. Prior experience includes roles at McKinsey & Company as an Associate from 2018 to 2021, a Research Intern at Opendoor in late 2017, and a Summer Associate at McKinsey in the summer of 2017. Vinayak also served as a Portfolio Manager in Oxford Policy Management's Financial and Private Sector Development Team from 2013 to 2016, and as an Economic Adviser with the Department for International Development from 2011 to 2013. Earlier, Vinayak held the position of Senior Economist (ODI Fellow) at the Overseas Development Institute, working with the National Bureau of Statistics in South Sudan from 2009 to 2011. Academically, Vinayak holds an MBA from The Wharton School, an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Delhi University.
