Luis Diaz Valdez is the founder and managing partner of Barbarian Business Ventures, Inc, a FinTech startup focused on blockchain technology and business strategy. Luis has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, including working as a director at ThoughtFocus, a global business process management, product engineering, and IT consulting firm. In their role at ThoughtFocus, they were responsible for the Payments and Loyalty Solutions Group.

Luis has also worked as an advisor at Paypadz, a company that provides payment processing and loyalty solutions to businesses. In this role, they are responsible for liaisoning between global business customers and technical teams, as well as delivering and maintaining a world-class experience to business customers on all initiatives managed by ThoughtFocus.

Luis Diaz Valdez has a Bachelor of Science in Professional Management from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Global Management from University of Phoenix. Luis also has certification from the Florida Department of Financial Services in 2-15 Health & Life (Including Annuities & Variable Contracts) and from FIS in Six Sigma Green Belt. Additionally, they are certified by the Scrum Alliance as a Senior Scrum Master.
