Ricardo Almeida currently serves as the Head of Data at Paxos, focusing on enhancing the company's data infrastructure in the financial technology sector. Previously, Ricardo held the position of Director of Data Engineering at Instagram, where responsibilities included leading the data ecosystem across various organizational functions. Prior to Instagram, Ricardo was the Director of Data Engineering at Meta, overseeing data engineering for entertainment-related products. Ricardo's early career included significant roles at Google, where experience ranged from Senior Manager in Business Intelligence to Senior Business Intelligence/Data Engineer, and at Hitachi Consulting, specializing in data warehousing for financial services. Ricardo holds a Master of Science and a European Licentiate degree in Computer Science from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
