Julia Dimitriadis Welch currently serves as an Associate at Paul Hastings, starting in October 2024. Prior to this role, Julia held the position of Senior Counsel to Commissioner Kristin Johnson at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission from November 2023 to October 2024. Julia has extensive experience as an Associate in the Capital Markets group at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP from September 2020 to November 2023, and as a Summer Associate with the same firm in 2019. Early career experiences include an internship at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, focusing on investigations in the Enforcement Division, and a legal assistant role at White & Case LLP, where Julia was involved in various stages of capital markets transactions and compliance work. Julia began legal training at Georgetown University Law Center, earning a JD, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Princeton University.
