Uwe Schmidt has extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management, currently serving as Senior Vice President Global SCM at HARTMANN GROUP since March 2021, after holding the position of Vice President Logistics Operations. Prior to this, Uwe Schmidt was Director of Logistics for Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe at Tech Data from October 2017 to February 2021. Uwe Schmidt's earlier roles include Geschäftsführer Betrieb at Lidl in Deutschland, where responsibilities included coordinating supply for 100 stores and optimizing logistics costs, and Geschäftsführer Zentrale Dienste at Lidl Italia, overseeing national logistics operations and implementing innovative systems. Experience also includes various leadership positions at Lidl in Deutschland, focusing on logistics coordination, process organization, and lean management. Uwe Schmidt's career began with the Bundeswehr, serving in multiple leadership roles from 1998 to 1999. Uwe Schmidt holds an education background from Justus Liebig University Giessen and The Philipp University of Marburg.
