Iris Giggetts

Senior Contract Administrator at Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute

Iris Giggetts has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Iris began their career as the Executive Director/Grants Manager at Rappahannock Teen Aware Program from 2006 to 2010. Iris then worked as a Foster Care/Adoption Social Worker at the Spotsylvania Department of Social Services from 2010 to 2011. Iris then transitioned to Virginia Commonwealth University, where they served as a Grants Administrator from 2011 to 2014. Since 2014, they have been associated with the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), initially starting as a Contract Associate and progressing to Senior roles. At PCORI, Iris provided contract management for over sixty healthcare research and engagement awards, valued at over $250M. Iris also collected and reviewed required assurances, negotiated contract terms, and prepared contract modifications. Additionally, they presented materials at PCORI conferences and collaborated with awardees to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and PCORI policies and procedures. Iris's work experience demonstrates their expertise in contract administration, grant management, and social work.

Iris Giggetts has a diverse education history. Iris obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Emory University - Goizueta Business School, studying from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, attending from 2005 to 2006. Iris also completed their undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Social Work between 2001 and 2005. Before their university years, they attended Germanna Community College from 1999 to 2001, earning an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Education. Although it is unclear when they attended, Iris has also pursued a Juris Master degree from Emory University School of Law. Furthermore, they have a certification as a Certified Research Administrator, which they obtained in December 2011 from the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC).
