Onyango Otieno is an experienced music educator currently serving as the Head of Department for Music at Pathways School NOIDA since July 2017, focusing on IBMYP and IBDP music programs. Prior to this role, Onyango held the position of Head of PY Music at The International School Bangalore from September 2013 to June 2017, and was the Head of Music at Lancers International School in Gurgaon, India, from September 2012 to August 2013. Onyango’s career in music education began at The Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa, Kenya, where services were provided as the Head of the Expressive Arts Department from August 2010 to August 2012. Onyango holds a Bachelor of Education degree in Music from Kenyatta University, completed between 1990 and 1994.
