Joan-e Rapine is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), nationally certified counselor (NCC), and certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP) with extensive experience in behavioral health. Since July 2019, Joan-e has served as the owner of Hands in the Sand LLC and has been a behavioral health clinician for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe since February 2021. Prior roles include clinical therapist at JFCS Tucson from April 2017 to December 2020 and family therapist at Sierra Tucson from June 2015 to April 2017. Additionally, Joan-e was the owner and childbirth educator for Mohala Birth Services from 1999 to 2016, an adolescent substance abuse treatment counselor at YMCA of Honolulu from May 2014 to May 2015, and healthcare director at YMCA Camp Ockanickon from 2001 to 2009. Educationally, Joan-e holds a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and a Bachelor's degree in Maternal and Infant Health and Human Lactation from Union Institute & University.
