Virginia Maria Barchiesi currently serves as a member of the Youth Sounding Board for International Partnerships at the European Commission, providing advisory support to Commissioner Urpilainen. In addition to this role, Virginia acts as President of the Babel Initiative, fostering connections between the Mediterranean regions, and serves as Co-President for External Relations at the Global Research and Consulting Group at SciencesPo, working to support socially-oriented organizations. Virginia is also a member of the UN Human Rights Youth Advisory Board, contributing to developing resources for youth advocacy in human rights. Previously, Virginia worked as a consultant for UN Women and interned at UNICEF and the Consolato russo in Ancona, gaining experience in media production and organizational support. Virginia's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Political Sciences and Middle-Eastern Studies from Sciences Po and ongoing studies at Georgetown University.
