Brad Backstrom is a seasoned Peace Officer with over 15 years of experience in law enforcement and public safety. Since October 2008, Brad has served at Parkland County, focusing on investigations related to municipal and provincial violations, as well as gravel operations. Brad holds multiple certifications, including Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance inspector and dangerous goods on highway inspector, along with roles as a Cargo Securement instructor and a Commercial Vehicle Weights & Dimensions instructor. Prior to this, Brad worked as a Transport Officer for the Government of Alberta in 2008, where compliance with safety legislation for commercial vehicles was ensured. Brad's academic credentials include a Supervisory Development Citation from the University of Alberta, a Bachelor of Arts in Governance, Law & Management from Athabasca University, and a Diploma in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Lethbridge College.
