Walt Cartin is a seasoned legal professional and veteran with extensive experience in both law and military service. Currently a Partner at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP since August 2009, Walt has also held the position of Associate at the same firm. Prior to this, Walt served as a Special Assistant in the Office of Congressman Joe Wilson for a brief period in 2006. Walt's military background includes serving as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army from May 2002 to December 2005, with roles such as Rifle Platoon Leader, Reconnaissance Platoon Leader, and Company Executive Officer in the 1-21 Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division. Academically, Walt holds a Master of Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School (2017), a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law (2009), and a Bachelor of Arts in English from The Citadel (2002).
