Karim Chagani is an experienced professional in gerontology and community services, currently serving as a Person-Centric Facilitator for Older Adults at the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion since June 2023. With a long-standing role as a Community Coordinator at Park Place Seniors Living, Inc. since April 2012, Karim works collaboratively with healthcare professionals to enhance the quality of life for diverse older adults and supports family caregivers navigating dementia challenges. Karim has also held positions at Fraser Health Authority and the Ministry of Health, British Columbia, focusing on improving access to long-term care services and resource navigation. Prior experience includes leadership roles in temporary housing for seniors and a 21-year tenure in information technology roles, including Sr. Application Architect at WorkSafeBC and Project Manager at Microsoft. Karim Chagani holds a Graduate Program degree in Gerontology from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Science from The University of British Columbia.
