Melanie Johnson is the current treasurer at ParentsCAN, and has previously worked as a psychologist in Marin County, San Francisco, and Napa County. Melanie has also served on the board of the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players. Melanie Johnson earned their Ph.D. in financial economics from the World Bank in 1983 and has since worked as a project officer for the organization.

Melanie Johnson has a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Maryland, a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and a BA in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
