Laura Wallin is an experienced interpreter and translator with a diverse background in legal and medical interpretation. Currently serving as a Court Interpreter at Translators USA, LLC since August 2020, and a Medical Interpreter at Paras and Associates since August 2018, Laura also operates as a self-employed translator and interpreter since August 2014. Previous positions include a Spanish Interpreter at Neighborhood Defender Service from January 2022 to October 2023 and a Policy and Quotes Reviewer at LIA Liability Insurance Administrators from August 2009 to May 2013. Laura holds multiple certifications, including a Legal Interpreter Certificate and a Healthcare Interpreter Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as a Certificado en Traductorado in Translation and Interpretation from the University of California at San Diego. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Political Science from UC Santa Barbara and an Associate's degree in Art History/Liberal Studies from Santa Barbara City College.
