Michael Thompson, CFA, currently serves as a Senior Research Software Engineer at Parametric since June 2022. Previously, Michael held roles at Parametric as an Investment Engineer from March 2017 to February 2022, where quantitative methods were applied for performance attribution, backtesting, and Monte Carlo simulation, along with the development of web-based applications using Flask. Additional experience includes positions as a Portfolio Manager, where Michael optimized client portfolios, and as an Associate Portfolio Manager at Russell Investments. Early career roles included Portfolio Analyst at Verus Investments and Financial Litigation Analyst at Keller Rohrback. Michael holds a B.A. in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Western Washington University, a Certificate in Computational Finance & Risk Management from the University of Washington, and completed a Software Engineering Immersive program at General Assembly.
