Mariel Bastidas currently serves as the Manager of Technical Accounting at Paradies Lagardère, a position held since January 2022. Previously, Mariel held roles as Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant at Hillman Solutions from May 2019 to January 2022. Mariel also worked as a Senior IFRS Consultant at GGI | Geneva Group International, where responsibilities included providing consulting services on IFRS and advising clients on internal controls. Earlier experience includes serving as Project Administrator at Petroquímica de Venezuela, S.A., overseeing financial and administrative project control, and as an Audit Associate at PwC, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. Mariel holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad Centro Occidental 'Lisandro Alvarado', a specialization in Financial Management from Universidad EAN, and a certification in IFRS from the IFRS Masters Colombia program.
