Jay Minster started their work experience in 2006 as an ITS Helpdesk Technician at Washington and Jefferson College. In 2011, they worked as a Lead Technician at LANTek and later as a Customer Support Analyst II at PPG Industries. Jay then joined United States Steel Corporation in 2012, where they had roles as a Telecommunication Analyst and an IT Security Specialist through Oxford Solutions.

In 2014, Jay joined Panopto as a Tier I Application Engineer and later worked as a Tier II Application Engineer. Jay then transitioned to the role of Product Training Specialist and eventually became a Technical Implementation Specialist. Currently, they are an Associate Product Manager at Panopto, starting in December 2022.

Jay also has experience in the sports industry, serving as an Assistant Swim Coach and later as the Head Swim Coach at Carlynton Aqua Club from 2012 onwards.

Jay Minster attended Washington & Jefferson College from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Information Technology Leadership. Prior to this, they completed their high school education at South Fayette High School from 2002 to 2006 and earned a High School Diploma. In addition to their formal education, Jay Minster also holds the Lifeguarding/CPR/FirstAid/AED certification from the American Red Cross, although the dates of certification are not provided.
