Sandra Ortiz Tapia has extensive experience in community relations, currently serving as Jefa de Relaciones Comunitarias at Pan American Silver Corp. since April 2023. Prior to this role, Sandra held similar positions at Yamana Gold Inc., where responsibilities included community mapping, strategy development, and execution of community engagement plans. Sandra also provided independent consulting in community relations from 2016 to 2018, focusing on stakeholder mapping and risk identification. Earlier in their career, Sandra served as Jefa de Relaciones Comunitarias at Barrick Gold Corporation, implementing community investment strategies and social management standards, and as Encargada de Proyectos Municipales for the I. Municipalidad de Alto del Carmen, overseeing community projects.
