Melissa Scherer is an experienced educator and business analyst with a diverse background in teaching and technology. Currently serving as a Business Education: Computer Science instructor at Palmyra Area School District since May 2022, Melissa teaches AP Computer Science and various programming languages, including Python and Java. Previous roles include an elementary school teacher at Harrisburg School District and a substitute teacher at Palmyra Area School District. Melissa possesses extensive experience in data analysis and reporting from positions at Highmark Inc., PREFERRED PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIANS, and various organizations, primarily focusing on MicroStrategy development. Melissa holds a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Drexel University and a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising Management from the Fashion Institute of Technology, complemented by a recent degree in Computer Science Education from Elizabethtown College.
