Richard Van der Merwe is an experienced lighting designer and technician with a career spanning several decades. Since August 1995, Richard has worked as a freelance lighting designer and technician, also serving as a gaffer at Palma Pictures since 1995. Prior to these roles, Richard was self-employed as a sailor from August 1985 to August 2018. Richard completed education at Parktown Boys High.
