Laura McCarty serves as the Director of Communications at Palladium, where responsibilities include leading communications for the USAID CATALYZE initiative, which focuses on mobilizing $2 billion in private capital across 39 countries in various sectors. Prior to this role, Laura held multiple positions at Abt Associates, including Director of Strategic Communications for the PMI VectorLink Project, Acting Chief of Party in Malawi and Rwanda, and Director of the Abt Global Intranet and Knowledge Sharing. Additional experience includes a role as Senior Communications Advisor at Plan International and work as a Communications Consultant and Public Information Officer for the United Nations Development Program in Vietnam. Laura McCarty holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from American University.
