Karla Fernanda Barrera CFCS is an experienced specialist in anticorrupción and transparency, currently serving as an especialista en anticorrupción y transparencia at Fundación Panamericana para el Desarrollo since February 2022. Previously, Karla held positions including project coordinator at Whistleblowers Mexico, anticorrupción specialist at UNODC, and advisor on the implementation of the National Anticorruption System at the SecretarÃa de la Función Pública. Karla has also served as director at the Secretaria de Desarollo Agrario Territorial y Urbano SEDATU, focusing on the involvement of the private sector and civil society in business integrity. Karla's early career includes coordination of management processes at the SecretarÃa de la Función Pública within the SecretarÃa de Educación Pública. Academic qualifications include a political science and public administration degree from Universidad Iberoamericana, a master's degree in political management from Universidad Católica de Córdoba, and a law degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
