Dominic Shakeshaft has extensive experience in the publishing industry, currently serving as the Managing Director of the Expert Network at Packt since June 2016, where responsibilities include leading new acquisitions and overseeing the Expert Network imprint. Prior roles include Publishing Consultant from January 2015 to June 2016, Associate Publisher and Editorial Director at Apress Media from September 2013 to January 2015, and Editorial Director at Apress LLC from October 2003 to September 2013, managing significant publishing initiatives, including over 1,500 titles in computing and IT. Earlier in Dominic Shakeshaft's career, experience as Managing Editor and Technical Editor at Wrox Press spanned from 1996 to 2002, overseeing a large editorial team and numerous technical publications. Notable early recognition includes winning the Shell International Computer Programming Award in 1987-88.
