Alice Lurain is an experienced educational professional with a strong background in science instruction and leadership. Currently serving as the Science Department Instructional Coach at The Packer Collegiate Institute, Alice collaborates with teachers to enhance student learning outcomes through targeted goals and ongoing feedback. Previous roles include Upper School Science Teacher, where Alice developed innovative curricula for high school students. In addition to academic work, Alice is actively involved with Hudson River Community Sailing as the Chair of the Fund Development Committee and a founding member of the Gender Equity & Inclusion Committee, promoting diversity and mentoring for female sailors. Alice's background includes curriculum development for online chemistry programs, teaching IB Chemistry internationally, and conducting education research. Alice holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Chemistry from Wesleyan University.
