Josephine Moerschel is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in the field of viola performance and leadership within the arts community. Since 2009, Josephine has served as the Executive and Artistic Director at Elemental Music and has held a position as Section viola with New West Symphony since 2007. Additionally, Josephine has been a Substitute viola with Pacific Symphony since 2004. Josephine's teaching experience includes serving as Adjunct Viola Faculty at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach, from 2010 to June 2017, and co-directing ViolaFest Los Angeles from 2009 to 2010, where responsibilities included event planning and coordination of teaching artists. Josephine holds a Masters of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts in Viola Performance from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
