Melissa Carin has a diverse work experience. Melissa worked as an Assistant Project Manager and Project Engineer at Pacific Rim Mechanical from October 2020 to the present. At the University of San Diego, they served as an Involvement Consultant from September 2018 to March 2020, where they oversaw the credit card usage of student organizations and assisted students with various inquiries. Melissa also worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Universal Studios Hollywood in June 2019. Additionally, they had roles as a Scholastic Assistant at the University of San Diego College of Arts and Sciences from May 2018 to December 2018, where they supported incoming freshman students, and as a Residential Assistant at the University of San Diego English Language Academy in June 2018, where they supervised international teenagers and organized activities.

Melissa Carin began their educational journey at Advanced Technologies Academy from 2012 to 2016. During this period, they focused on studying engineering. Later, from 2016 to 2020, Melissa pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of San Diego.
