Patrick Gehring is the current Treasurer at Pacific Lutheran University. Prior to their current position, Gehring served as the Finance Director for Compass Housing Alliance from June 2015 to June 2017. Patrick has also worked as the CFO for Town & Country Bank from May 2013 to May 2015, and as a Financial Analyst for Twinstar Credit Union from August 2011 to January 2012. In addition, Gehring has worked on various projects for Columbia Bank from May 2011 to August 2011, and they have also worked for Western Washington University. Most recently, Gehring served as the Chief Financial Officer for Sound West Group from June 2017 to February 2019, and they also served as the Controller for Olympia Federal Savings from January 2012 to May 2013. Prior to their work in the private sector, Gehring served as an Officer in the US Army from June 1992 to May 2006.

Patrick Gehring's educational career includes completing an MBA in Finance and General from Sacred Heart University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Washington State University. Patrick Gehring also has a certification from the Washington State Board of Accountancy as a Certified Public Accountant.
