Emily Haozous is currently the Associate Director and Research Scientist at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation, where research focuses on healthcare inequities and the improvement of cancer screening and outcomes in American Indian populations through indigenous and participatory methodologies. Previously, Emily served as an Associate Professor and PhD Program Director at the University of New Mexico College of Nursing, teaching research methods and mentoring students. Emily's academic journey includes a PhD in Nursing from Yale University, where the dissertation examined cancer pain experiences in Southwestern American Indians. Prior experience includes an Assistant Professorship at Yale University School of Nursing and working as a Rider Representative for Pallotta TeamWorks, where athlete training and fundraising were guided.
