Kristi Kim has extensive work experience in the biotechnology and forensic science industries. Kristi is currently working as a Principal Applications Scientist for PacBio, where they focus on customer experience. Prior to this, they held the role of Manager, NGS Field Applications (West) at Integrated DNA Technologies for a year. In 2020, they were a Manager of Core Services at GRAIL, Inc. Before that, they worked as a Senior Field Applications Scientist at Verogen from 2018 to 2020. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Senior Field Applications Scientist for Illumina, specializing in clinical trials. Kristi has a strong background in next-generation sequencing and technical support, having worked as a Senior Scientist in various roles at Pacific Biosciences from 2010 to 2017. Kristi began their career as a Serologist at the Serological Research Institute in 2009 and later joined the Massachusetts State Police Crime Laboratory as a Chemist, focusing on DNA analysis and crime scene response.

Kristi Kim attended Lehigh University from 2001 to 2005, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology. Kristi then pursued further education at the University of New Haven from 2005 to 2007, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Forensic Science.
