Bob is President and Chief Operating Officer of Jacobs, where he oversees the global operations of the Critical Mission Solutions and People & Places Solutions lines of business, generating $14 billion in revenue. His tenure at Jacobs has been defined by his efforts leading enterprise-wide transformation, which directly led to material improvement in the company’s profitability and market leadership. A highlight on this journey was Bob’s leadership of the CH2M acquisition, a $5 billion diversified technical services deal that catalysed Jacobs’ strategic growth and set the benchmark for large acquisitions in the engineering consulting sector.
Bob is deeply passionate about fostering an inclusive workplace that invites colleagues to bring their whole selves to work. He is the Executive Sponsor for the Jacobs Careers Network and is a regular participant in all of Jacobs’ employee network events. He is also a strong advocate for Jacobs’ Beyond If – the company’s program for instilling and sustaining an innovation culture that empowers people at every level of the organization to approach problems differently, and work together to create outcomes that deliver value for our clients and society at large.
Bob graduated from the United States Naval Academy and began his Naval career as a Civil Engineer Corps and Seabee Officer, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He earned his MSc in engineering and management from Stanford University.
