Scott D. Flamm, MD, MBA has been working in the medical field since 1999. From 1999-2006, they were the Director of MRI and Cardiovascular MRI Research at the Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, where they were recruited to originate and lead clinical and research CV MRI programs. In this role, they built a successful multi-disciplinary team that rivaled and collaborated with first-tier programs in the US and Europe, and established CV MRI and CV CT clinical, research, and fellowship trainee programs from the ground up.
In 2006, they were recruited to the Cleveland Clinic as the Head of the Section of Cardiovascular Imaging. In this role, they managed and grew CV imaging clinical operations, research, and revenue amid a dynamic environment and changing reimbursement structures. Scott D. also led a team of physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to provide diagnostic imaging of the heart and vascular system for more than 15,000 patients annually within a $9B+ healthcare system.
In 2012, they joined Precision Image Analysis as a Board of Directors member, Medical Director, and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board. In 2014, they joined Cryothermic Systems, Inc. as a Board of Directors member and Scientific Advisory Board member. In 2016, they co-founded and became a faculty member of the Institute for Biomedical Entrepreneurship, Inc. (IBE, Inc.).
Scott D. Flamm, MD, MBA has a Medical Doctorate from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, a Bachelor of Arts from University of California, Berkeley, a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Imaging/MRI from University of California, San Francisco, and a Residency in Diagnostic Radiology from University of California, Los Angeles. Additionally, they have a Master of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois.
