Lewis Irvine has a varied work experience, beginning with a Supervisor role at Roly's Fudge in 2014. Lewis then moved to the UK Atomic Energy Authority in 2016 as a Student Research Assistant, where they implemented the trapped gyro-Landau-fluid (TGLF) model into an integrated plasma modelling suite. In 2017, they began working at the University of Bath as a Doctoral Researcher in New and Sustainable Photovoltaics, and also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Outreach Team member. In 2018, they joined Pint of Science UK as a City Coordinator and Event Manager, and in 2022 they began working as an Engineer at Oxford PV.
Lewis Irvine attended the University of Bath from 2013 to 2017, graduating with a Master of Physics (MPhys) in Physics.
