Alison Murphy is a seasoned medical writer with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and academic sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Medical Writer at Oxford PharmaGenesis since September 2018, Alison has advanced from the roles of Medical Writer and Associate Medical Writer. Prior to this, Alison held a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford, focusing on the role of the inflammasome in intestinal inflammation from September 2014 to August 2018. Earlier research experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant position at Trinity College Dublin, investigating staphylococcal antigens as vaccine candidates, and a Wellcome Trust Summer Research Student role determining the prevalence of a TLR5 stop polymorphism in bronchiectasis patients. Alison's initial research involvement was as a Research Assistant with Operation Wallacea, assessing genetic diversity in tree ferns and coral bleaching. Alison holds a PhD in Immunology and a B.A. Mod in Biochemistry with Immunology, both from Trinity College Dublin.
