Scott Hickey is an accomplished professional in genomics and biochemistry with extensive experience in research and leadership roles. Currently, Scott serves as the Director of Genomic Applications at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, having held the position since August 2018, and previously as Associate Director. Prior to this, Scott was the Director of Research and Development at Trace Genomics from September 2015 to July 2018, and a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at UCSF, where research focused on non-coding regulatory elements in cancer genomics. Scott earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, where investigations centered on genetic regulatory RNA elements and antibiotic development, along with a BS in Biochemistry from Santa Clara University.
