Derek Winskill is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Chief Information Officer at Oxford Instruments plc since September 2024. Previously, Derek held the same title at TT Electronics plc from May 2018 to September 2024, where responsibilities included aligning IT strategies with business needs and fostering team development. Prior to that, Derek served as IT Director at DS Smith from November 2013 to April 2018, overseeing a large team and managing substantial budgets to enhance IT stability and customer service. Derek's career also includes IT Director roles at DS Smith Plastics and HANSON AGGREGATES UK LIMITED, where significant transformations and global systems implementations were achieved. Earlier experience includes Senior Consultant at Capgemini and Systems Analyst at BT Syntegra. Derek holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Information Technology from Bournemouth University.
