Neil Thompson is a seasoned software development professional with extensive experience in various roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Senior Software Developer at Oxfam since July 2023, Neil focuses on leveraging AI to enhance retail operations in support of global initiatives. Prior to this, Neil worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Classic Cottages, where expertise was applied in transitioning complex systems from Monolith to Microservices architecture. Experience also includes significant contributions at Thought Quarter as a Senior Developer, improving a high-traffic Umbraco 7 website, and at Adventure 001 Ltd as a .NET Software Architect/Developer during a period of rapid expansion. Neil's career began in software engineering with skills developed in various capacities, including freelance positions and leadership roles. Neil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Brighton.
