Esteri Elslie Magaisa is a seasoned Programs Specialist in Gender Justice at Oxfam since February 2021, providing technical support to nine partners focused on women's and youth empowerment and gender equality, alongside serving as a Temporary Executive Assistant to the Global Humanitarian Director and Deputy Director. Previously, Esteri worked as a Program Officer at the Women's Academy for Leadership and Political Excellence, facilitating Feminist Transformative Leadership trainings to enhance political participation among marginalized groups. Earlier experience includes a researcher role for Democracy International, evaluating USAID-funded projects, and serving as a Commonwealth Professional Fellow with the Institute for Conflict Research, focusing on peacebuilding in Northern Ireland. Esteri has also held positions as a Research and Advocacy Officer at the Zimbabwe Election Support Network and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Institute of Environmental Studies. Esteri holds an MPhil in Sociology from the University of Zimbabwe and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work at Midlands State University.
