Joe DeSalvo is currently an advisor at Outland. Joe has over 20 years of experience in law enforcement and security. Joe has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Pittsburgh. Joe began their career in law enforcement with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police. Joe then transitioned into the private sector, where they have worked for Hillard Heintze and Mylan. In their most recent role as Chief Security Officer for Mylan, Joe was responsible for executive management of global security functions, including physical security, crisis management, business continuity management, incident response, investigations, workplace violence prevention, and data privacy and information security. Joe has been recognized as an expert in their field and has been asked to speak at numerous conferences on topics related to law enforcement and security.
Joe DeSalvo has a MBA in finance from the University of Hartford and a bachelor's degree in history from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh. Joe also has completed executive leadership programs at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and Georgetown University.
