Tiafau Purcell has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They started their career as a UX/UI Designer at Smart Rhino Labs in November 2013 and worked there until April 2015. From June 2015 to October 2018, they served as the Founding Engineer & Senior Product Designer at Verdad Tech. In November 2018, they joined WAVV Communications as a UX Designer and stayed until May 2019. In June 2019, they became the Head of Design at Smarty and held this position until August 2022. Tiafau also worked as a Contract Designer for their own company, Tiafau Purcell, from July 2013 to August 2022. Additionally, in March 2019, they co-founded Outdoor Adventures, where they served as the Co-Founder & Chief Outdoor Adventurer, focused on creating an online rental marketplace platform for outdoor adventurers. Currently, Tiafau is working as the VP Engineering at Nerd United, beginning in August 2022.

Tiafau Purcell attended Brigham Young University from 2004 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Latin American Studies.
