Ainsley Matthewson is a researcher at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, specializing in medical ethics and epistemology in neurology under the guidance of Dr. Michel Shamy since 2020. Key contributions include developing a novel protocol for examining the justification of women-only randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in stroke treatment and publishing a scoping review. Prior to this role, Ainsley was a student researcher at the University of Ottawa, where involvement included developing a protocol for RCTs and leading manuscript writing for a review project. Ainsley also gained experience in the Foster Research Group, focusing on women's reproductive health and data analysis related to mifepristone.
