Long Jiang has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering field. In 2012, they founded Qlong Division, a website. In 2011, they were a member of the Industrial Capstone Project Team at PV Labs, where they achieved 2nd place throughout the Engineering Department and was selected to present at the 2012 Ontario Centres of Excellence Competition. Long also prepared materials for GDOS chemical surface characterization, designed and applied ASTM G85 standard surface corrosion tests, and generated test plans according to ASTM G85 standardized methods. In 2014, they began working as a Manufacturing Engineer at Canadian Solar Inc., where they were tasked with heading the expansion and enhancement of MRO capabilities, including the start-up of an in-house machine shop for a 0.5 gigawatt solar module production line. In 2016, they joined OTI Lumionics as a Senior Mechatronics Engineer.
Long Jiang attended McMaster University from 2006 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Materials Science & Engineering.
